To be able to access the MiiNT users need to be able to enter a user name and password. User groups are used to manage security and access to products where a general policy can be applied to several users.
Site Setup is used to manage User and User Groups security within MiiNT.
Note: This can only be performed by a user with administrator privileges.
The Users folder is used for the maintenance of User security. Each user has a user details page and a product settings page for each Product (data model).
The user details page contains user logon credential information, such as user name, user group and password.

The user product settings page establishes whether group or individual user security will be applied. When group security mode is selected the security properties of the user group the user is assigned to, will be inherited, otherwise the security properties can be overridden.
Permission can be set to allow or prevent access to MiiNT applications.

User access to the modules and reports, and the assignment of rates can be controlled using the Security panel to grant access to the relevant User Groups. All users assigned to the user groups will be able to access the modules and reports, and assign rates.
This access is applied to the individual navigation menu items and standard report items, and at the rate category level.
Note: A child menu item will only list the user groups that the parent menu item has been granted accesses to.
